WARRP - Wide Aperture Reflection/Refraction Profiling

GeoPro GmbH offers a variety of geophysical services to oil industry and research institutions. Our major focus is 2-D and 3-D on- and offshore Wide Aperture Reflection/Refraction Profiling, using arrays of up to 100 SEDIS recorders.

The WARRP method is a powerful imaging tool for problem areas such as sub-salt, sub-basalt or thrust belt structures.

The basic priciple of WARRP is utilizing the amplitude burst when P-wave energy is totally reflected beyond the critical angle of incidence. To record at wide angles large offsets are required, much larger than conventional seismic arrays can provide.
